Marie's passion was to enlighten and help newly diagnosed MS patients with an inspiring and uplifting podcast called TruthBeToldMS. Catalyst CC was hired for the sole purpose of obtaining a prominent feature in the Globe and Mail Real Estate section, the leading property section in Canada. Up to the challenge, and armed with only a 50 word info paragraph on the sale of a shopping mall - Catalyst was able to find the the ‘story’ behind the story and build a media release which resulted in a full feature article regarding the fate of shopping malls in Canada. Article and photo of CEO appeared on cover of the Property section two weeks later.
FAMILY BUSINESS COUNSEL OF CANADA
Catalyst CC was hired by the newly-formed counsel made up of professional advisors from insurance, law and finance sectors, to streamline their target message and help promote a new book for family business owners. With no existing presence or awareness in the public, Catalyst CC focused on building FBCC credibility through targeted messaging and expert positioning in front of media, online social channels and in front of referral partners. The goal was to position them as the starting point for small family business owners in Canada.
As part of the PR Launch Kit, Catalyst CC delivered a key message document and media release to gain awareness around the new social networking site for women. Canada’s largest small business training company, BizLaunch assists thousands of entrepreneurs across Canada in launching and growing their own companies through free seminars, webinars and other opportunities. Catalyst was hired to solidify Bizlaunch’s profile as a small business expert and achieved media coverage around their over 200 free seminars held at Staples stores in cities across the country. Catalyst was also a consultant on corporate sponsorship initiatives and a consultant on social media and communication strategies.

SpringBOARD is a business incubator located in Central Ontario, helping new and existing companies launch products and services which provide jobs and economic growth to their surrounding regions. Catalyst was hired as the Public Relations consultant and media relations specialist for two LIVE business pitch competition in the Simcoe region.
